So after we all said goodbye to each other and parted our own ways a couple of the girls and I have stayed in Kenya with the very generous Conway family. We have done so much stuff and could not be thankful enough for their hospitality and love that they have shown towards us. After getting back from Mombasa, we grouped up and made our way to Mt. Kenya to conquer it. Showing up to find the pouring rain, we knew it was going to be an interesting trip. All in all we climbed 17,510 ft, walked 36 miles, all in 48 hours. The last morning we woke up at 2 a.m and climbed to the summit just in time for the sunrise. One of the coolest scenes I have ever seen. The way the clouds just blanketed the sky is something that I will never forget ahh. We are young and everything, but I can tell you I have never been so sore in my life. Most def took a couple of days off before our next adventure.
After recovering from the crazy hiking adventure, we took a day to visit an Elephant and Giraffe orphanage. Pictures tell the excitement and aww we had as all 15 baby elephants ran into the feeding grounds. Although they were just babies, you could see the personalities coming out. I never thought that I would get a chance to kiss and animal, but the Giraffe took full advantage of me. A memorable moment to say the least
Made in the Streets
Made in the Streets is an organization that's whole purpose is to rescue and help kids that are living on the streets on Nairobi. This ministry was started in 1995 and has helped many children in the years of operations. The Conway's have been apart of this organization since the beginning and it is amazing to see Mr. Conway so passionate about these kids. The whole goal of Made in the streets in to take street kids and put them through a 4 years program promoting change through education, skills, responsibility, and finding the Lord. I have had the chance to visit both the streets and the "farm" as they call it. To hear these kids stories has been so heartbreaking, but so encouraging at the same time. When I went to the streets I had the chance to go to a certain part of town and talk with some of these kids. Although most of them were high on glue and fuel, it was amazing to get to share the gospel and tell them how my God is amazing. I know that God is working through this program and he reveals himself everyday through the amazing stories of how he has overcome. For more information visit www.madeinthestreets.org
Finishing up our time in Kenya, we decided to go to the Mara with some of our friends that have never been. Every second I am in the Mara I am just amazed with Gods creation. To see a sunset made up of so many colors is something that blows my minds. His power and glory is shown throughout the whole park and I truly thank Him for showing everyone how amazing he really is. The Mara is 25,000 Km on land, rivers, and mountains. In the whole park their are only 5 Rhinos in existence and very rare to see. On the last morning we spotted a momma and baby and followed them for 20 minutes. It was just breath taking to see such a rare animal in its natural setting. They are very shy animals and normally always hang out in the bushed. God has made it clear that photography is a new passion of mine. It has been such a fun summer capturing so many memories on my camera and I look forward to using this blessing to further His Kingdom.

I leave Sunday morning for the states and as much as I want to start reflecting on the whole process now, I am trying to enjoy every minute while it is here. This experience has been life changing and I am looking forward to getting back and showing everyone how God transformed so many things here. This shall be last African update.
